THE ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE  
is about understanding the way in which you process the events of your life, moment to moment. Discomfort and pain is frequently a consequence of your responses which have led to habitual tensions and patterns. Through gentle hands-on work and verbal clarification, your ease of being can be attained.

For me, my 'response to life' and consequential poor 'use of my self' had resulted in debilitating neck pain and headaches, but for others it is often stress and a lack of vitality, back pain, or knee, hip, elbow pain, RSI, migraine, IBS, depression... 
the list is long, but as I and many have found, with 'Alexander' there can be 
light at the end of the tunnel.

The word 'technique' can be rather weighty to many of us, but as any musician or sportsman will know, a sound technique is simply the necessary template to support us during the execution of a skill.The Alexander Technique is therefore aptly named for it supports us in each and every moment of the highly skilled business of being alive in this world of ever increasing stimuli. 


FOOTSTEPS OF THE SOULTM 
Transformational Healing works at a cellular level within the body. Cells hold all our memories and through this supportive, loving, and totally non-judgmental process, these can be released and the cells left holding positive information, helping the body heal both physically and emotionally. Beliefs and attitudes change and life becomes more joyous and peaceful without the 'drama'.  

Through the Footsteps process many deeply held beliefs and traumas can be transformed; they just don't seem to be there any more. As those often invisible responses to the (even long forgotten) trauma are able to stop, the Alexander work enables the body to come back into its natural balance; the two modalities working hand in hand. Alexander may release the tension holding in those traumas, but Footsteps is there to transform them forever. In either case it is not necessary to me to know about what is being held, nor for the re-telling or re-living of old trauma.
